Hello Bibliophiles!!!
Here we are with another book review and yes this is another famous book – The Family Upstairs. The author of this book Lisa Jewell has done a fantastic job in keeping the readers totally glued with it. The story is narrated in a very different way, three main characters narrating their own tales and eventually how all the three stories blend in is very interesting. Definitely as the story progresses the readers get an idea about who each of these character is and how they all are related to each other. Even though you can predict many things about them, its just not enough because the turn of events is unforeseeable.
Basically this book starts with Libby learning about inheriting a house rather a mansion in Chelsea, London. The events followed by this are mainly about how she comes to know about her actual birth parents and reasons why no one other than her has come up to claim this inheritance. What exactly happened in this house 25 years ago, who all witnessed the same, where have they been for all these years?
Can knowing about all these secrets resolve this mystery or there could be much more to this. A superb narration of all these stories entwined.
Definitely another 5/5 star book! Again highly recommended!
There is another sequel to this book, we will be bringing the review for that too very soon.
