New App Helps Trump Lovers find Love

Date like the Donald

  • Good news for lonely Trump supporters who want to avoid political arguments on their dates: There’s a new app that allows fans of the president to hook up with each other.
  • Moreover, conservatives who sign up for Righter needn’t worry about being scammed by a left winger pretending to be someone he or she isn’t. App founder Christy Edwards Lawton says any liberal who attempts to register will be sued.
  • “I have a very nice legal team that will be handling that,” Lawton says. “This is zero tolerance.”
  • The Righter app is expected to launch later this month.

Righter is meant for those people who support the president. Liberals may get sued if they try to join.

“I am a Republican,” she recalled, whispering to Lawton. “They don’t want me.”

Faced with romantic despair, Lawton saw opportunity. That encounter at the party—and the now-infamous incident where a Virginia restaurant refused to serve White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders—inspired her to start Righter, a dating network that caters to Trump supporters who have been rejected on more mainstream dating apps over their political beliefs.
